EXCERPTWhen his lips touch mine, I can barely keep my knees from giving way.
Marchant sweeps the door open and wraps an arm around me, dragging me toward the king-sized bed. He turns me around and urges me down onto my back, with my legs hanging off the side of the mattress. He parts my knees and stands between them, leaning down over me so he can kiss my throat, my chin, my cheeks, and finally--when I can't stand it anymore--my mouth.
His lips close over mine with a harsh groan, and I sink my hands into his wild hair and pull him down on me. His body is warm and hard. I run my fingers from his biceps down his taut sides, and they leave trails of goosebumps. He's hard in seconds, pressing himself urgently against me.
I can feel his abs jerk as he breathes between our kisses ragged breaths that do nothing to slow the fury of his mouth on mine.
His taste is a drug--hot and sweet and just a little salty.
With all thought stalled by the rhythm of our mouths and hands, I notice everything about the way he moves and feels. How when he breathes, his ribcage presses into mine so hard it hurts. Another novel in the Love Inc. series? Yes, please! I devoured Selling Scarlett and Taming Cross by this extremely talented author so I was chomping at the bit for this highly anticipated release. Unmaking Marchant had high expectations to reach, which it accomplished effortlessly.Suri and Marchant were first introduced to me in Selling Scarlett and I was beyond excited to find out their paths cross and weave together. Suri is a loyal friend with a beautiful personality. Marchant is the wealthy owner of Love Inc. and trouble with a capital T. The possibilities of what could occur for these two were endless…
Suri's destructive relationship leaves her questioning her identity. Years of drunken verbal abusive from her ex-boyfriend took a serious toll. She's such a glorious woman and it's a shame she has been beaten down. Suri allowed this toxic relationship to occur for too long but in retrospect, it explains a lot about her character. She is stubborn, devoted, and feisty so she doesn’t stay low for long.
Marchant is a total mess and I loved every self-destructive thought in his mind. He is just the right type of crazy for me. Marchant is absolutely unstable and wild when his side of the story begins. He isn’t your typical bad boy but he is filled with naughty. The vivid descriptions are spot on and it proves Ella’s stunning skill. When he's high you get a fun experience. It's like you're actually enjoying the drugs! Marchant is spiraling downhill fast.
It was amazing how Suri and Marchant randomly meet then quickly realize they are connected through mutual friends. From that point, they get thrown into an intense maze of reality that continues to crisscross their lives. Even when Marchant and Suri attempt to keep a distance, they always manage to slam back together. Their interactions are electric and unpredictable which allows for an exciting ride.
There are plenty of reasons why these two shouldn’t belong with each other but who listens to reason these days? Suri and Marchant discover secrets about one another that very few know. These hidden pieces bind them tight and prove their special bond. Marchant has a lot of personal hurdles to climb. In addition to having terrible memories of his past haunting him, he's battling with mental illness. He's so complicated and complex. Marchant desperately needs someone to understand him, even if he refuses to admit it. He craves a connection and Suri can fill that desire if he lets her. Hopefully she can forgive her past mistakes and move forward with Marchant.
Guess what? There is more to come for this delicious duo! I can’t wait so I hope Ella James is writing quickly.

I am struggling to know what to rate this book. Part of me wants to give it a three and another part wants to shout out a loud FIVE STARS!!
So let me break it down.
Here's why I would give it a three...
I found Marchant to be a bit of an ass. His language was harsh and the way he sometimes treated Suri was full on mean. In saying that, he did have a sweetness to him and I did appreciate the way Ella James captured his condition in a very raw and realistic way.
The sex scenes were too full on for my tastes and the language. I like a good sex scene every now and then, but these were just too much for me.
Also - the ending is quite sudden. It's good, but I was like, NO!! I need the next book right now!!
But here's why I want to give this book five stars...
Ella James has this magical power with her words. She sucks me into her books with one brilliant scene after the next. I have to find out what happens, I'm compelled to keep reading. Even with my nose wrinkling over some of the scenes, I still wanted to know how the book was going to end. The character growth is solid. The mystery running through the pages is enticing. I flew through the book in two days, which is really fast for me.
So - if you don't mind some raunchy sex and harsh language, then I do recommend this book. I will be checking out the next one in the series, because I like the Love Inc. world Ella James has created. I like her mixture of romance and suspense and her writing style is exactly the kind I like to read )
This is my favorite of Ella James's adult series!! I loved it! It has everything that James is well known for great characters, exciting lifestyles, mystery, and hot, hot, hot sex scenes. I think I liked this so much because this is more obviously a woman saving a man, than a women being saved. In her other two books, the women do save the men by loving them, but I enjoyed the twist I'm this one. Also, sometimes when authors write a series that have the same characters, but different leads each time, the books tend to be a little predictable. I enjoy that though it is easy to predict what will happen, there is always a few surprises. I also love Marchant. I love that this pimp/ player has a whole other life that he is living that no one suspects. It would hv been easy for James to make his struggles about alcohol or just a crappy past, but she added an element that is beautifully explored. I don't want to go into detail bc I don't want to spoil it for you, but it's good trust me. This book is also scary. Even with all of the crazy things that happened in the other books of the Love Inc series, this is darker and scary, not just thrilling like the other two. Then as I'd the book got too good, Ms Ella James ended it on a cliff hanger!!! Why?? I would hv given her every star possible, but it was too much. I felt like she stopped the book right at the climax and i needed to finish-pun intended. It is still worth the read but u might want to wait till the following book is already out!! As mad as I am about the CH, I am still really looking forward to the next one!!
